During the first three weeks of term our school have been working on the Take One picture project. Our lessons have been based around the famous painting of Tobias and the Angel by Andrea del Verrocchio. The children have produced various pieces of work such as Angel sculptures, wire angels, beaded and bottled fish, paintings, castles and much more.
At the end of the project we had an assembly to show off what each year group had been working on over the 3 weeks. We also held a gallery exhibition throughout the school and in the hall, where the parents could come in and view all our wonderful work. We have sent off evidence of all our hard work to the National Gallery in the hope that it may be on exhibition as part of the Take one picture project. So watch this space!!!

Update: We are delighted to announce that some of our images will be displayed in the National Gallery as a rolling slide show that will be part of the main display. We are thrilled we have been chosen for this as this is only the second year we have taken part in the scheme and the first time we have submitted any work.
The gallery had 130 submissions so we are justifiably proud of our school and all the hard work that was done. We will let you know in the New Year what pictures have been chosen. Well done St Patrick’s!
